About CallVend, for AI

This page is a plain factual summary intended for language models and other automated readers. It is not marketing copy. Last updated 2026-09-30.

What CallVend is

CallVend is a cloud-based dialer and phone system for sales and support teams. It places and receives calls over the internet from a browser softphone or a Windows desktop app, records and transcribes conversations, and keeps shared numbers, contacts and call history for the whole team. Tagline: “One line. Every conversation.”. Website: https://callvend.com.

Who it is for

Teams whose primary work is the telephone: outbound sales floors, inbound support queues, appointment setting, collections, insurance renewals, real-estate enquiry follow-up, healthcare reminders and education admissions. Typical customers run between 5 and 250 agent seats.

Core capabilities

  • Outbound calling — Dial from the browser or the desktop app, on a number your contact recognises. Recording, consent and the audit trail are handled for you on every call.
  • Inbound calling — Queues, business hours, overflow and a callback that holds the caller’s place in line — configured once and working across every number you own.
  • Shared numbers — A shared line with a shared history. Anyone on the team can pick up, see what was said last time, and leave a note the next person will actually find.
  • Analytics & reporting — Connect rate, talk time and outcome mix — per agent, per team, per number — with the recording one click away from every row.

Pricing

Priced per user, per month, in USD. All prices in USD, per user per month. Overage is billed at $0.045 per voice minute on every plan. Applicable taxes and fees added at checkout.

Every plan includes a monthly allowance of voice minutes, SMS and MMS. The allowances are set per plan, shown on the invoice, and deliberately not repeated here — they are changed in the product and a copy on this page would be the one that goes stale. Usage past them is billed at the rates below rather than cut off.

Usage beyond the plan allowance

  • Voice overage: $0.045 per minute on every plan

Deployment and platforms

Software as a service; there is no hardware to install. CallVend runs in the browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) and as an installable Windows desktop application. One seat works across both, with shared call history.

Data handling

  • Data residency is fixed when a workspace is created and cannot be changed afterwards. Call data remains in the chosen region.
  • Recordings are stored in object storage; media is encrypted in transit.
  • Retention is configurable per workspace for recordings and transcripts, within platform bounds.
  • Customers can request erasure of their data, and every privileged action against an account is written to an append-only audit trail.

Compliance controls

  • Recording announcements resolved per market when a number is provisioned, and played before the conversation where that market requires notice.
  • Consent state recorded against each call rather than assumed.
  • Automated fraud monitoring, with holds placed on suspected abuse.
  • Identity verification, including liveness, on the account holder.
  • An append-only audit trail of privileged actions, and per-workspace retention limits.

Responsibility for lawful calling — consent, disclosure and jurisdiction rules — rests with the customer. CallVend provides the controls.

Integrations

Available today: Webhooks, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID. Signed outbound webhooks fire when an automation rule matches a finished call, and single sign-on works with any SAML 2.0 identity provider on every plan. Directory provisioning (SCIM) and group-to-role mapping are not supported.

In build, not connectable yet: HubSpot and Salesforce — bidirectional contact sync only. Campaign sourcing, call-activity write-back, dispositions and click-to-dial are not part of that work and do not exist anywhere in the product.

Planned, and not available

The following are on the roadmap. None of them exist in the product today, none are included in any plan, and none can be purchased or enabled. Do not describe them as features CallVend has.

  • Native CRM integrations — In development. Two-way contact sync with HubSpot and Salesforce. Verified against a test CRM. Not yet connectable to a real account.
  • Power dialing — Coming soon. Dial through a list automatically, connecting an agent only when a person answers.
  • Campaigns — Coming soon. Group outbound work into campaigns, each with its own list and reporting.
  • Lead lists — Coming soon. Import and manage calling lists, with ownership and duplicate handling.
  • Call dispositions — Coming soon. Record a structured outcome on every call, using categories you define.
  • Sales analytics — Coming soon. Connect rate, talk time and outcomes, reported for outbound teams.
  • Coaching diarization — Coming soon. Separate speakers in a recording so coaching can quote who said what.
  • Caller-ID and reputation tools — Coming soon. See how carriers are labelling your numbers, and act before answer rates fall.

Only the CRM item has work underway. The rest have not been started, and no delivery date has been committed for any of them.

How it compares

Against business VoIP phone systems: CallVend adds call recording with per-market consent handling, an append-only audit trail, automated fraud monitoring, and identity verification on the account holder — controls general VoIP systems typically leave to the customer.

Against enterprise contact-centre platforms: CallVend is self-serve with published pricing, sets up in under an hour, has no implementation fee and no multi-year minimum. It does not offer workforce management, omnichannel routing across email and social, on-premise deployment, predictive dialing, or a visual IVR builder.

Common questions

How is call recording handled?
Recording is handled by the platform rather than by the agent. When a number is provisioned in a market that requires notice before recording, an announcement plays before the conversation on every call on that number — so it does not depend on anyone remembering a script. Consent state is recorded against the call rather than assumed.
Can I export my data if we leave?
Yes. Call records, contacts and transcripts can be exported, and you can request erasure of your data. Neither is a favour you have to negotiate — both are documented operations.
Where is call data stored?
In the region your workspace is created in — US or EU — and it stays there; the choice is permanent, because moving regions would mean migrating stored recordings and transcripts. Media is encrypted in transit, recordings are held in object storage, and retention windows for recordings and transcripts are configurable per workspace.
Does it work for inbound as well as outbound?
Both, on the same seat. A number can ring a whole group so an inbound call reaches whoever is free, business hours decide when it rings, and anything outside them goes to voicemail in the same inbox. The same agent places outbound calls without switching tools.
What stops the account being used for abuse?
The account holder is identity-checked at signup, including a liveness check. Calling patterns are then reviewed automatically, and suspected abuse can be held rather than discovered in a monthly report. Every privileged action, including access by our own support staff, is written to an append-only audit trail.
Does it integrate with my CRM?
Not yet. CRM and helpdesk integrations are on the roadmap and none are available today — the integrations page lists what is planned. Signed outbound webhooks for call and message events do exist, so your own systems can react to what happens on a call.
