Every call placed and answered by a human
Call from the browser or the desktop app, on a business number your contact recognises. Every call is started by a person, and the history and audit trail are kept for you.
No handsets, no VPN
Your team places calls from a browser softphone over WebRTC, or from the Windows desktop app. Same seat, same history, either way.
Recording handled correctly
Where a market requires an announcement before the conversation, it plays automatically. Consent is recorded against the call, not assumed.
Numbers your team shares
Present a number from your workspace pool. Call history and contacts are shared, so whoever picks up next has the context.
Put your team on a business number from a browser tab.
Call from anywhere in the app
Click a contact, a number in a conversation, or type into the keypad. The call connects in the browser — there is nothing to install unless you want the desktop app.
A second call does not drop the first
Take an incoming call while you are already on one. The active call goes on hold and returns when you are ready, rather than being lost.
Recording with the notice each market needs
On Premium and Enterprise, once recording is switched on for the workspace, the announcement a market requires plays before the conversation starts.
Every call leaves a trail
Direction, duration, outcome and who handled it, written to the call history and the audit trail. Retention is set by your workspace, not by us.
A closer look
Four things worth understanding before you decide.
From sign-up to first call
Create the workspace, verify your identity, and your number is ready. Your team signs in and the softphone registers itself — there is no desk phone to provision.
One screen, nothing to think about
You see who is on the line and the contact’s history. Timers and the call record happen without a click.
The numbers your workspace owns
Each plan includes a number, with room to add more. Calls placed from the workspace present a number your contact has seen before.
The record writes itself
Outcome, duration and recording land on the call automatically, searchable from the call history for as long as your retention policy keeps them.
Everything else on the platform
What people ask about calling
A browser and a headset. There are no handsets to buy, no PBX to configure and no VPN to connect to — a user signs in at app.callvend.com or in the Windows desktop app and the keypad is there. A workspace is created as you register, so the first call can happen the same afternoon.
A number your workspace owns. You choose which one a call goes out on, so a team with several numbers can call from the one the customer already knows. It is always your own number; CallVend does not let you show a caller ID you do not hold.
No. Every call is started by a person, one at a time, and automated or prerecorded calls are not allowed — see the Acceptable use policy.
Recording is a workspace setting, included on Premium and Enterprise, and it is off until the workspace turns it on. Where a number was bought in a market that requires notice before recording, the announcement plays before the conversation on every call on that number, so it does not depend on anyone remembering a script.
